We are a loving couple, married and deeply grateful for each other. I’m 46 and my husband is 40, and we’ve both spent our careers working in public service. We’ve been trying to grow our family for over a year and recently completed a donor egg cycle. While it brought us hope, the financial cost has been heavy — but our desire to become parents remains as strong as ever.
We come from warm, close-knit families and want to pass on the kindness, integrity, and curiosity our parents instilled in us. My husband lost his father young, which made us both cherish family connections even more. Our dream is to raise a child in a home filled with love, laughter, learning, and security — a place where they feel completely supported to become whoever they’re meant to be.
We would be endlessly grateful for the chance to receive your embryos and to honor your gift through the life and love we’d pour into our child’s future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Tracy & Charles Ewell
- Snapshot of my life and family:
My wonderful and loving husband and I met late in life. I am 46 and he is 40. I have been a runner since age 20 and I run every other day and do yoga twice a week. My husband is obsessed with vegetables and has been working hard to have the right diet. We would love to expand our family. My husband is an attorney and I am the Director of Underwriting for a local NPR and PBS affiliate.
- Fertility story:
After trying for a year, my husband and I visited a fertility clinic. Due to my age, they recommended we try donor eggs for fertilization.
- Infertility diagnosis or N/A:
Our first try yielded 7 fertilized eggs and 2 embryos that reached the blastocyst stage and which were able to be cryopreserved. This was at a cost of $27,000.00. It is heartbreaking because the two embryos that survived were given a morphology grading of 3CC each, one on Day 5 and the other on Day 6.
