- Fertility story:
Hi, my name is Mallory, and all I’ve ever wanted is to be a mom. For as long as I can remember, that dream has guided my heart. Over the years, I’ve watched friends and family start their own families, and while I’ve been overjoyed for them, I’ve also felt a deep longing, a space in my life waiting to be filled.
As time went on and I didn’t meet the right partner, I began to wonder if motherhood was something I’d have to let go of. Then a friend of mine began her journey as a single mother by choice through IVF, and I thought, “If anyone could do that, it’s me.” I’ve helped raise my six nieces and nephews, and being part of their lives has only strengthened my belief that I was meant to be a mom.
I began this journey with hope and determination. I started with four rounds of IUI, but each one failed. I moved on to IVF two medicated cycles—and again, they were unsuccessful. I didn’t give up. I turned to donor embryos and tried another transfer, but sadly, it didn’t take. Despite the heartbreak, I’m not ready to let go of this dream just yet. I’m preparing for one final embryo transfer, and I’m holding onto hope that this will be the one that brings my baby home.
The emotional, physical, and financial toll of fertility treatment is significant. While I’ve covered most of the costs on my own, the medications and embryos for this last transfer are out-of-pocket. My insurance also has a lifetime maximum for fertility treatments, and I’m nearing that limit.
Any assistance big or small would mean the world to me. Everything brings me one step closer to making my lifelong dream of becoming a mom come true. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me on this journey. ❤️ - Infertility diagnosis or N/A:
