I am a female physician in the field of holistic medicine and a professor of medicine at an academic institution. I developed 9 beautiful embryos with the help of my best friend from Brazil, a cardiologist by practice. I am petite, 5’4 and weigh 130 pounds.
I love reading, solving difficult problems in unique ways, being helpful, music, the arts, and dancing. I play the piano and played the viola in a chamber music orchestra in my youth. I now sing with my church choir. I also love to dance pretty much anything, including salsa, samba, bachata, flamenco, and modern dances like hip hop.
My Brazilian best friend is a sweet kind intelligent man who is also into fitness and sports, marathons, and surfing in Rio. He also has a perfect physique.
- Snapshot of my life and family:
I have a beautiful, fulfilling, yet challenging job with long hours. I am very close to my parents and my brother, and I speak to them almost every day. I am also close to my Brazilian relatives, though distance makes it a bit more challenging to speak on a regular basis. On weekends, I enjoy various activities with a number of talented, adventurous, and musically inclined friends who lead concerts and events. When I have a little bit of vacation time, I enjoy traveling abroad to someplace I have never been and exploring the beautiful world around us. I speak five languages so I travel very easily.
- Fertility story:
Undergraduate school, medical school, then residency and fellowship specialty took a good 15 years of my life during my 20's and 30's. I realized I didn't have much time left to start a family so I underwent fertility treatments to buy a little more time. I developed 9 embryos in a single cycle- amazing! But the second part of my plan didn't really pan out--finding the right partner. I would be delighted if my efforts could help a new couple launch their family dreams.
