“For this child I have prayed” 1 Samuel 1:27
My husband and I met in March of 2018, and from the very beginning, our relationship felt grounded in faith and shared values. We became engaged in December of 2019 and planned to begin our lives together shortly after, but like many couples, our plans were impacted by COVID. Between the uncertainty of the pandemic and my graduate school commitments at the time, our engagement lasted a little longer than we originally hoped. We were married in 2021, and through every season of life, we have continued to grow closer to one another, and strengthened our relationship with the Lord.
One of the greatest desires we shared entering marriage was becoming parents and building a family together. Shortly after getting married, we began trying to have children. After a year without success, we turned to medical intervention for help. Our journey began with IUIs and eventually led to multiple rounds of IVF. Despite our hopes and efforts, none of the procedures resulted in a successful pregnancy. We have gone through 4 retrievals and 6 transfers. The only diagnosis we have ever received is unexplained infertility, which at times has made the journey even more difficult emotionally because we have never fully understood why it has been so hard.
While infertility has brought seasons of heartbreak and disappointment, it has also brought us closer together. Throughout this process, embryo adoption began to grow on our hearts. The opportunity to give an embryo a chance at life while also growing our family feels incredibly special to us, and we are so grateful to be pursuing this path.
We are both very close with our families and feel fortunate to come from homes with long-standing marriages and strong values. Those relationships have shaped the kind of home we hope to provide. David was born and raised in Tennessee, and I was born and raised in Kansas. We met in Texas and are still there currently.
My husband works as an Air Traffic Manager for the FAA at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst serving as a clinical director at an ABA clinic in the metroplex. We are down-to-earth people who enjoy spending time with family and friends, and entertaining in our home.
More than anything, we so desperately want to become parents. We have so much love and patience to give. We would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through embryo adoption.
- Snapshot of my life and family:

Britney:
I would describe myself as caring, compassionate, and family-oriented. I am naturally outgoing and talkative, and I genuinely love connecting with people (David says I’ve never met a stranger). My faith is a very important part of who I am, which has grown especially since going through the season of infertility.
I am emotionally supportive and empathetic, but also mentally strong and determined. Life has brought challenges that have shaped me into someone who is resilient and able to find strength even during difficult times. I feel like motherhood would come naturally to me. I’ve always loved babies and children!
One of the greatest passions in my life is serving others through my work as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I truly love caring for children with autism and supporting both them and their families. It is incredibly rewarding work that has taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of celebrating even the smallest wins.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family, going to church, decorating and caring for our home, and being active. My favorite food is seafood, Italian and good turkey sandwich!
David:
I am naturally quiet until I get to know someone well. I tend to be more of a listener than a talker, and I usually only give my opinion when someone asks for it. Family and career are the two things that mean the most to me.
I started with the FAA in 2005 as an air traffic controller and now serve as an Air Traffic Manager at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Managing a large operation has taught me a lot that carries over into my personal life. It has taught me patience, how to truly listen, and the importance of showing understanding and compassion toward others. It has also taught me to recognize people for the positive things they do and to lead in a way that allows others to learn and find solutions for themselves instead of making every decision for them.
My parents played a major role in shaping who I am. My father taught me that no matter how demanding work becomes, you should always save time and energy for your family. My mother taught me the importance of compassion, helping others, and reaching out to people during difficult times.
I am very detail oriented and enjoy anything that challenges the mind, especially puzzles and strategy games. I have a strong interest in military history, and cooking is one of my biggest passions. I also enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge with others whenever I can.
- Fertility story:
My husband and I began trying to have children in 2021. We had no luck after a year of trying naturally and sought medical intervention. We first began with IUIs, then Multiple rounds of IVF. We have been able to create a 2 euploid embryos each retrieval, but they have all been low quality which have not ever resulted in viable pregnancies.
- Infertility diagnosis or N/A:
My husband I have had a wide range of tests and blood work completed. The only diagnosis we received was that there is some kind of egg quality issue.
