Two Chinese Embryos (1 Male, 1 Female) Seeks Married/Partnered Couple
My husband and I would like to help another couple have a child. We are comfortable with other people raising our son’s bio sibling(s) because we fostered and then adopted a teenage boy who has full-and half-siblings adopted by three families with whom we are in contact occasionally. The interesting thing is he’s closest to his two step-brothers because he grew up with them (when his bio dad married his step-mother) before he entered foster care.
- Snapshot of my life and family:
We are a gay couple fortunate to be able to retire early. After two decades of being fun uncles to our nieces and nephews, they've grown up and we've now decided to raise our own child. These days we spend our time raising a teenager and toddler, keeping up with current events, reading for pleasure, and travelling the world.
- Fertility story:
We took two simultaneous approaches to having a child: 1) adoption through foster care, and 2) surrogacy. Thinking we had about a 1/3 chance of success with each, we ended up succeeding with both (third foster placement, first frozen embryo transfer), and now our family is complete.
